tiny houses
I've known about Tumbleweed Tiny Houses for a while but I saw them mentioned on BoingBoing.net today. I love them--they're the anti-Mcmansion. In a lot of places you don't even need a permit to live in one, because they take up less than 100 sq. feet.
I would totally live in of these. I practically live in one already--I rent a mother-in-law cottage and it's essentially one room and a tiny bathroom. I'm perfectly at ease living in a small space. I shower in a closet, cook in a toaster oven, and sleep on a futon mat on the floor. The only thing that really takes up space are my books!
<----- The Vardo design is adorable, but practically I think it's just a little too small to actually live in. And it doesn't have a bathroom. But the Epu or the Z. Glass House--I would live in one of those. They both have kitchens, bathrooms, and water heaters, and the latter one even has a fireplace!
