Ann Coulter may have been "joking" (I'm sure we're all familiar with her unique and twisted definition of humor by now) when she said she dreamed of women not having the vote. What's Tucker Carlson's excuse?

I don’t know why that’s embarrassing [that there aren't more females in Congress]. You could make the counter case that most women are so sensible, they don’t want to get involved in something as stupid as politics. They’ve got real things to do.

Better things to do like make me a sandwich, so get back in the kitchen, Hillary!

Putting aside for a moment everything else that's wrong with this statement: That's how conservatives see it, in a nutshell, isn't it? Politics isn't "a real thing to do". It's just a big game without real world consequences. RUNNING ONE OF THE BIGGEST COUNTRIES--AND ARGUABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT DEMOCRACY--IN THE WORLD ISN'T "A REAL THING TO DO". GOD.

And isn't this exactly the same argument that anti-suffrage men (and some women) used for most of the 18th and 19th centuries? "Why would you want to get involved in the dirty world of politics? We need you to stay above the fray and raise our childen. *condescending headpat*" In other words, women are too fragile, and also too stupid to understand what being involved in the real world entails, and daddy knows best, so we're keeping her out of it for her own good, the poor dear. Gee, isn't that exactly the same argument that anti-choicers are still using today?

Fucker went on to cram his foot even further into his mouth:

But they’re [the male Democrats running for President] not just men, I mean, they’re Democrats: They’re sensitive, New Age men. I mean, they’re NPR-listening, Volvo-driving, Whole Foods-shopping. They’re the kind of guys who cry during Meg Ryan movies. I mean, they’re kind of in touch with their feelings. They’re not manly men, they’re wimpy men.

Manly like THIS?:

The good news is that Carlson is a hairsbreadth away from being cancelled, so the opportunity to cackle with schadenfreude (AGAIN) should be presenting itself any day now.
