Wow, that commercial really is horrifying. It does make me wonder why people would pay for that- I'd much rather pay a professional dom for humiliation if that's what I was looking for. I have a hard time wrapping my head around how that could be motivating to go to the gym, in any way shape or form.
I honestly don't think he's trying to encourage actually fat, out-of-shape people to join his gym. I think it's just a place for like-minded douchebags to get together and be smug and hateful.It doesn't sound as if he actually ALLOWS fat people to join his precious gym.
Right- I just see it as encouraging skinny people to feel like crap about how they look too. The American never-good-enough syndrome. Although perhaps once they're in the elite they get the status treatment- which might actually encourage them to give him more money.
